Lampas : figured silk with a blinding warp, which combine colour contrast and good texture cohesion. In order to ensure a faihtful reproduction of the antique patterns, these silks should be woven in the widths which were in used at the time and, for the most part, measured 54 cm.

Broché : silk where an additional weft, introduced into a ground weave, the movement of which is limited to the

width of the area where it is required, and which does not travel from selvage to selvage. Hand woven in the Lyons tradition of the 18th century.

Velours ciselé : a pile weave in which the pile is produced by a pile warp that, by the introduction of rods during weaving, is raised in loops above a ground weave. Ciselé is formed by cut and uncut pile. The cut pile is higher than the uncut pile. Handwoven in the Lyons tradition of the 18th century.
